Under the motto "Publish or Perish," a highly competitive publication system has emerged in which research results must be published continuously and visibly in order to secure reputation and career opportunities. At the same time, problematic actors are increasingly appearing within the academic publishing system, including predatory journals, fake conferences, and so-called paper mills. Please note: This workshop will be conducted in German only.

The publication of new scientific findings is a central part of research work. Publishing your doctoral thesis demonstrates your ability to conduct independent academic research. In many disciplines, researchers already publish results during their doctorate, for example in journal articles. In this workshop, we cover the fundamentals of publishing doctoral theses and journal articles. Please note: This workshop will be conducted only in German.
